After packing as many players as we could fit in to the Broadway and Aspers we went super-size for our third festival and headed to Dusk Till Dawn in Nottingham.
The hugely impressive new poker room allowed us to expand the main event to 270 entrants and still have plenty of room left over for some big side events and cash games - at one point on Saturday we had 45 tables in play concurrently!!
The players responded to the professional surroundings and the £36,000 prize pool helped to focus their minds too! Day 1 was a massacre as Kings ran in to Aces left, right and centre (and Kings seemed to come out on top more often than not! Would never happen on online poker…….). Day 2 slowed right down and an epic final table played out well in to the night until eventually Stephen "Scaramoosh" Docherty from Carlisle nailed the £10,800 first prize.
