Technical FAQ
What type of computer do I need to play?
Our site is designed to run normally on most computers except
for Apple Mac - it's something to do with Safari (their browser) -
we're not really sure why it doesn't but we're working on it - as
are our gaming providers so please bear with us.
Is my current internet connection good enough?
If you can access most things on the internet then you should be
fine with us. The faster your connection the faster our site and
games but you should be fine.
What's a browser?
It's the thing you use to access and browse the internet. Most
people have IE (Internet Explorer) or (Monzilla) Firefox but a few
adventurous souls out there have Google Chrome.
What's a pop-up blocker?
It's something that stops those annoying random adverts popping
up when you least expect them. Unfortunately it will also stop our
games and chat window from popping up too. The good news is that
you can decide which site you allow pop-ups from. To manage your
pop-ups just go to Tools (it's usually one of the buttons under the
bit that shows the address of the site you are on) and one of your
drop down choices should be about pop-up blockers.
Google Chrome's a bit fancier but this link should help:

What's a 'cookie'?
'Cookies' are data files that contain information on things like
the pages you've visited, and the date when you last looked at
them. It's effectively a record of what you've done.
To learn about clearing cookies go to Trouble Shooting.
What's a bookmark?
See favourites below.
How do I add you to Favourites?
A bookmark - which is also called a favourite in Internet
Explorer is a shortcut to a page. When you find a page you like you
can bookmark it - just go to the Favorites tab (yes, it's an
American spelling) and follow the prompts.
What's a flash player or Adobe Flash?
Flash is something that allows you to view and interactive with
animation, video and games - basically, if you can watch You Tube
on your computer then you've probably already got it installed. If
you haven't you'll get an error message the first time you try to
launch one of our games telling you you'll need Adobe Flash Player.
For more information either follow the prompts in the game window
or go to www.adobe.com.
