Filters and Sorting
When looking for the right game for you, you can filter which tables you view by using the sub-menu:
- The 'All' filter will show all tables.
- 'Limit', 'No Limit' + 'Pot Limit' will filter by the betting limits of the game - click here for more info on limits.
- Practice tables are for free players and fun money.
- Private tables are password protected and can be set up on request by e-mailing help@virgingames.com.
There are further filters underneath the main menu. Here you can filter by:
- Table size – 2, 5 or 10 player capacity
- Table occupancy – choose not to view full or empty tables.
Once you have filtered your table view you can then sort your tables by each column to find the right table for you faster. From the left column to the right you can sort by:
- Table nationality – the flags not only show you which what currency the table plays with but also the languages allowed in the chat box. Players speaking to each other in a language not allowed on the table should be reported to help@virgingames.com as per the House Rules.
- Table Name – everyone has to have a name!
- Type – what type of limit is at the table.
- Stake – the size of the little and big blind plus the table currency. The currencies available are Pound Sterling, US Dollars, Euros & Turkish Lira.
- Players – how many players are seated and the capacity.
- Waiting List – how many players are waiting to sit on the waiting list. If a table is full that you’d like to play on you can join the waiting list and will be seated in turn when a seat becomes available.
- Flops Played – this is the percentage of hands in which the flop is dealt. A low percentage may mean it’s an aggressive table in which players are raising pre-flop a lot.
- Hands per Hour – the average number of hands dealt each hour.
- Average Pot – the average size of each pot on the table.
Quick Play
If that's all a bit too much effort for you then you can always just select the 'Quick Play' tab and in three steps choose which game you want to play and you will automatically be sent to the right table.

Once you’ve found a table then in order to join it you need to:
- Either double-click the table you want to play at or click on the table and click the 'Go to table' button at the bottom right hand side of the Lobby. After selecting a table a new page will pop up displaying the poker table and all seated players.
- Double-click on any open seat. After you select an open seat, you will be asked to choose the amount of cash you want to take to the table with you. If you are playing for fun this will be free play chips.
- Then you're away! Simply use the buttons at the bottom of the table to play each hand as it comes. If you're looking for a full breakdown of how the game is played why not check out our How To Play section or drop into our Live Poker School.
Sit and Go
The Sit & Go lobby has a similar structure but with different filters and columns.
The sub menu filters by:
- All – what else can you say?
- Table Size – Full Table (30, 20 or 10 players), Short Handed (5 players) or Heads Up (just the 2!).
- Satellites – tournaments which feed in to bigger MTT live events qualifications. Click here for more info on these.
- Private – password protected tables which can be requested at help@virgingames.com
The bottom filters can hide tables which are:
- Finished – over, done with, no more.
- Running – currently in play.
The columns once again can be filtered in the following way:
- Tournament – This is just the name but can also tell you a little bit about it such as Turbo, Speed, Cooler or Pays 4 – for more info see Sit & Go section.
- Game - This refers to the game variet - TX (Texas Hold'em), OMH (Omaha), OML (Omaha HiLo), FCS (Five Card Stud), FC7A (Five Card Draw 7-A), SC (Seven Card Stud) & SOK (Soko).
- Type – the limits.
- Buy-In – how much it costs to enter (the first number is the entry fee which goes in to the prizepool, the second the rake which we charge for running the tourney).
- Status
- Register – open to register.
- Full / Running – no more space left / in play.
- Finished – is over but you can see the result if you want.
- Players – how many players have entered so far and what the capacity is. As soon as entrants equals capacity then the tourney will begin.

Multi-Table Tourneys
The Multi Tourney lobby is very similar to the Sit & Go one. The major differences are:
- Start time – as MTTs start at a fixed time rather than when a set number of people have signed up the start time is shown in the second column.
- Status – Waiting is an option here as registration may not have yet opened. If a tournament is Waiting then you can double click on it and the Tourney Info screen will be brought up and this will inform you when registration opens.
For both Multi Tourneys and Sit & Go’s once you’ve found the one for you:
- Click on the tourney.
- Select Register.
- Confirm.

You can see a live view of all the tournaments about to start
here.
Good luck!
Choosing a Poker Table
After you have created an account you are ready to
play poker. To begin playing, you must take a seat at a table.
Once logged in you'll be taken to the Lobby screen (below) and the Tables tab. In the middle tabs you can select your games type:
- Texas Hold'em, Omaha, Stud Games and 5 Card Draw all being different varities of cash games.
- The Sit & Go and Multi Tourney tabs are where you will find our tournaments.
- For more information on cash and tourneys look in our All Games section.
