Introduction
Three Card 2nd Chance™ is an exciting new three card game that is easy to learn and hard to resist. True to its name, Three Card 2nd Chance gives you a 2nd chance to turn a poor hand into a winning one! By doubling your initial bet, you receive a new hand to try to beat the Dealer. Similarly, the initial Dealer hand is replaced if less than King high. If your final hand beats the Dealer’s, you win! It is that easy. Earn at least 1:1 on your total bet and up to 6:1 for higher ranking hands.
Experienced three card players love the ability to replace a poor hand. Novice players love the simple rules - there are no dealer qualifying or partial pays. And everyone loves never having to fold a hand.

How to Play
You start by placing an Ante bet. You may also place a Best Hand bet if you wish. (See 'How to Bet' for more details.)
After you complete your initial betting, click on the DEAL button. Both you and the Dealer receive three cards. All three of your cards are dealt face up. All three of the Dealer cards are dealt face down.
You now decide whether to keep your hand or to double your Ante bet and receive a new hand. Click the STAND button to keep your existing hand. Click the 2nd Chance button or the 2nd Chance bet spot on the table to place a bet equal to your Ante and receive a replacement hand.
After you decide on your hand, the Dealer cards are revealed. If the Dealer has less than King high, the Dealer receives a new hand. The final Dealer hand is compared against your hand and any Ante, 2nd Chance and Best Hand Bonus awards are paid.
How to Bet
To play Three Card 2nd Chance, you must make an Ante bet. You may also place a Best Hand bet no larger than twice the Ante bet. Select a chip value by clicking a chip at the bottom of the playing field. The chip you select brightens and displays in a raised position. To place your bet, click either the Ante bet spot or the Best Hand bet spot on the table. Every time you click, you place one chip on the table.
Each bet must be at least as large as the table minimum limit and cannot exceed the table maximum limit. If you choose to place an Ante bet, your remaining balance must be large enough to place a 2nd Chance bet equal to your Ante bet.
Once the hand is dealt, you can make a 2nd Chance bet to receive a new hand. To do this, click the 2nd Chance button or click the 2nd Chance bet spot on the table. A 2nd Chance bet is equal to the value of your Ante bet.
If you wish to repeat your last bet and play immediately after completing a game, click the REBET AND DEAL button. If you have sufficient credits, this button restores your previous bets and initiates play all in one click.
If you wish to repeat your last bet without initiating a new game, click the REBET button. This restores your previous bets. If you wish, you can adjust any bet. You still need to click the DEAL button to initiate play.
The DOUBLE BET button doubles your currently placed bets every time you click it. If doubling your current bets would exceed the table maximum limit, then the DOUBLE BET button will not be available. If you click the DOUBLE BET button when no bet is placed yet, this is the same as first clicking the REBET button and then the DOUBLE BET button, and will result in the placing of a bet that is twice as large as your last bet. You will still need to click the DEAL button to start playing.
To remove a bet before the cards are dealt, press and hold the SHIFT key and then click the stake on the appropriate bet spot on the table. To remove all bets, click the CLEAR button.
Playing Against the Dealer
Once you decide to stand or to receive a new hand, the Dealer hand is revealed. If the Dealer hand is less than King high, the Dealer hand is discarded and a replacement Dealer hand dealt. Your final hand is compared against the Dealer final hand, and the best hand wins.
If you have the best hand, you win at least 1:1 on both your Ante bet and on your 2nd Chance bet (if present). Your payout is dependent on the rank of your hand and the Ante and 2nd Chance pay table. If the hands match exactly (a tie), your Ante and 2nd Chance bets are returned.

Best Hand Bonus
To be eligible for a Best Hand Bonus award, you must place a Best Hand bet before the cards are dealt. At the end of the game, your final hand and the Dealer final hand are evaluated, and if at least one of the hands is a Flush or better, you are paid according to the Best Hand Bonus pay table.
Your Best Hand bet cannot exceed twice your Ante bet. If both your hand and the Dealer hand are a Flush or better, you are only paid once based on the highest hand. You do not need to make a 2nd Chance bet to be eligible for a Best Hand Bonus award.
Poker Hand Rankings
This list contains the possible Poker hand outcomes for Three Card Poker ranked from the highest value hand (Straight Flush) to the lowest (High Card). For two cards to have the same rank, they must have the same number (like two 8s) or the same picture (like two Queens).
Straight Flush:
Three cards of consecutive rank, all of the same suit. For example, 6-7-8 of Hearts.
Three of a Kind:
Three cards with the same rank.
Straight:
Three cards of consecutive rank of mixed suits. Ace can be high (as in Q-K-A) or low (as in A-2-3).
Flush:
Three cards of the same suit.
Pair:
Two cards with the same rank.
High Card:
Three non-matching cards.
Comparing Poker Hands
Comparing Poker Hands
If two hands have different outcomes, the hand with the outcome higher on the outcome list wins (see 'Poker Hand Rankings').
If the two hands have the same type of outcome (for example, if both hands hold a Pair), the stronger or higher value of the outcomes wins.
For Pair and Three of a Kind outcomes, the hand with the highest card value wins. For example, a Pair of Kings beats a Pair of 10s.
When comparing Flush, Straight, or Straight Flush hands, the hand with the higher high card wins. For example, a 9-10-J Straight beats a 6-7-8 Straight. Likewise, a 9-10-J Straight beats an A-2-3 Straight because the Jack high card beats the 3 high card.
If the winning outcomes are the same between two hands, the remaining cards in the hand are examined. For example, a K-3-3 beats a J-3-3 because, while the Pair matches, the remaining King beats the Jack.

Clicking the OPTIONS button reveals a menu of controls that enable you to customize various aspects of the game to suit your preferences:

Allows you to control the speed of game play. In NORMAL mode (default) all game animations are played. In TURBO mode the pace of play is quickened by eliminating certain animations. This does not affect the method of play or the rules of the game. |

Allows you to toggle and modify settings for various audio elements in the game. The Dealer's voice-over may be turned on (default) or off by checking or unchecking the VOICE setting box. The game's sound effects may be turned on (default) or off by checking or unchecking the SOUND EFFECTS setting box. Additionally, you may choose between TRADITIONAL or MODERN (default) style sound effects. |
| GRAPHICS QUALITY |
Allows you to set the quality of the graphics to get the best animation performance on your computer. In BEST mode, the graphics look the best, but performance may suffer. The HIGH (default) and MEDIUM settings lower the quality but increase the performance. In LOW mode, the graphics are degraded, but the smoothest animation performance is achieved even on slower computers. |

Allows you to turn ON (default) or OFF the game's text instructions, which are meant to help new players. |
| CARD SORTING ORDER |
Allows you to set the way that the hands are ordered after they are dealt. Selecting LEFT TO RIGHT (default) places the cards in order of highest to lowest, with the highest ranking cards on the left. RIGHT TO LEFT also sorts the cards in order of highest to lowest, but places the highest ranking cards on the right. Selecting NONE leaves the cards in the order in which they were dealt. |

Each game is dealt from a freshly shuffled deck of 52 cards.
Malfunction voids all pays and play.
Your Best Hand Bonus bet cannot exceed twice your Ante bet.
