Help our luckless friend Mel make his way around London on a pub crawl! If Mel can predict whether the next number will be higher or lower than the current one, he moves one step closer to a big win - up to £25,200!

Introduction

After another tough day at work, Mel needs the comfort of a pint or two. Time for the Underground Hi-Lo Pub Crawl! Watch our hapless hero mind the gap and navigate his way across the Underground to his beloved pint by predicting whether the next number in the tube doors is higher or lower than the last. If Mel correctly predicts five or more outcomes on a row you progress to the next level and come one step closer to last orders and a pocket full of cash. If Mel correctly predict all six numbers, you can at least triple your bet. Either way, after each tube station, you can choose to take your win, or chance your luck at the next station by continuing on and playing for even larger prizes!

How To Play

You can bet from 1 to 100 credits in Underground Hi-Lo. Begin by selecting your initial bet.

Click the BET UP 1 button to increase your bet by 1 credit.
Click the BET DOWN 1 button to decrease your bet by 1 credit.
Click the BET UP 10 button to increase your bet by 10 credits.
Click the BET DOWN 10 button to decrease your bet by 10 credits.

After you have placed your bet, begin the game by clicking the PLAY button.

An initial challenge number between 1 and 49 is presented at the beginning of the bottom row in the tube door. Mel's goal is to predict whether the next number is higher or lower than the challenge number. Each number is randomly drawn from the range of 1 to 49, and is either higher or lower than the current challenge number. There are no ties.

With each prediction, Mel moves through the tube carriage. Each row consists of 6 predictions. If Mel makes two incorrect predictions, the game ends. If Mel correctly predicts 5 or 6 on a row, you can either take your win, or elect to continue to the next tube station and another row where the payoff for 6 of 6 is even larger!

If you choose to continue, you move up to the next row and risk your winnings on Mel correctly predicting another row of numbers. A new initial challenge number is randomly selected to start the new row.

Take note: there is a benefit to doing well on the upper rows as the award multipliers for 6 correct predictions gets higher and higher after the first row. See the pay table for more detail.

How Does He Do it? or Inside the Mind of Mel

Though Mel was never much for studies, he did pay attention during a BBC programme on maths so his predictions are always the most advantageous for you. If the challenge number is less than or equal to 25, Mel's next value prediction is higher. If the challenge number is greater than 25, Mel's next value prediction is lower.

How To Collect Your Win

If Mel correctly predicts all 6 numbers in a given row, you win a multiple of your bet amount, based upon how high the row is. You can choose at the end of the row to either collect your win or to risk it all on Mel predicting the next higher row.

If Mel correctly predicts exactly 5 of 6 on a given row, you win back your bet.

If Mel successfully completes any row with 5 or more correct predictions, you are offered a TAKE WIN button. Clicking this button ends your game and adds any credits you earn during this game to your credit balance on the Game Console.

If Mel does not correctly predict at least 5 outcomes on a given row, the game ends with no pay.

Rules

Malfunction voids all pays and play.

Awards are shown in credits.

Each number is randomly drawn from the range of 1 to 49, excluding the previous number on the same row.

Additional Information

The Game Console on the right side of every game provides information and access to additional features:

• Your username
• Your current balance in your chosen currency
• Your total number of credits
• The denomination in which the game is being played. This represents the value of each credit.

The Meter Bar on the bottom of the game screen displays the denomination in which the game is being played, the number of credits paid if a win occurred, and the number of credits bet on the last/current proposition.
