Responsible Gambling FAQ

But I don't have a gambling problem!

Responsible gaming is not about having a gaming problem - it's about not having a gaming problem. We love it when our customers take a responsible approach to gaming, managing their account well, setting their own deposit limits and staying in control.

That way you're happy, we're happy, and everyone has a more delightful experience with Virgin Games. For more information and a quick self-assessment see our Responsible Gaming Policy.

How do I set my own deposit limits so I don't end up spending more than I should?

Just go to My Account - My Limits to set your own personal daily, weekly, monthly deposit limit(s) to suit your budget and needs. If it's easier for you, contact us and we'll do it for you as soon as we get your request.

Your limits will be set as soon as you request. For extra safety we suggest that you log-out and then log back in again after you've set them, just to ensure that they are definitely applied, especially if you're in a middle of a gaming session.

Can I decrease my deposit limit once I've set it?

Yes, you can. Just go to My Account - My Limits to set your new daily, weekly, monthly deposit limit(s), or if it's easier for you, contact us and we'll do it for you as soon as we get your request.

Can I increase my deposit limit once I've set it?

Yes you can, but you'll have to send your request to us, in writing. We'll review it and if we agree to apply the increase you'll have to wait at least 24 hours, or seven days if you've been playing poker from when we received your request before we can apply it to your account.

This gives you chance to think it over and make sure you want the increase - if you change your mind and want to keep your limit as it is, just let us know.

Time Out & Self Exclusion

If you ever feel like you are getting in above your head or that you need to take a step back we'd recommend that you take some time out or apply a self-exclusion to your account. If you want to talk it over then feel free to get in touch with us.

What's the difference between a Time Out and Self-Exclusion?

The only difference is the amount of time you feel you need to take a break for. A time out can be anything from a day to a few weeks, whereas a self exclusion is longer and can be permanent. It's about what you think suits you best.

How do I take time out or Self-Exclude?

Just go to My Account - My Limits and scroll to the relevant section where you'll be able to apply a time out or self exclusion for a time period that suits you.

To make sure you're not tempted to come back before you're ready, and to help you stay on top when you do come back, we'll take you off the Virgin Games mailing list.

If you decide you want to self-exclude for six months or more we'll also send back any funds in your account to your registered payment method.

What do I do if I want to come back?

If you feel you are ready to come back you'll firstly need to contact us in writing requesting a revocation of your self exclusion. On receipt of your request we will review your account and contact you to discuss your options further. It really is about what is best for you.
