About The Game
Spend the day on the links with that comic character Mel. As Mel
slices and hooks, correctly guess whether the next number will be
higher or lower, and you can turn a small bet into a small
fortune.
Introduction
Play a round of golf with your companion, the loveable Mel. Now,
Mel is not exactly a golf professional - so as he slices and hooks
away, you should pay attention to the golf balls as they all
contain a number. You can bet on whether the next number on the
golf ball will be higher or lower than the previous number. Keep
guessing correctly, and watch your winnings grow faster than Mel's
golf score ever will!
How To Play
You can bet from 1-100 credits. Begin by selecting your initial
bet.
Click the Bet Up 1 button to increase your bet by 1
credit.
Click the Bet Down 1 button to decrease your bet by 1
credit.
Click the Bet Up 10 button to increase your bet by 10
credits.
Click the Bet Down 10 button to decrease your bet by
10 credits.
After you have placed your bet, begin the game by clicking the
Play button.
The game will present a challenge number between 1 and 49. You win
if you correctly predict whether the next number presented is
higher or lower than the challenge number. The payout for correctly
choosing high or low is displayed on the right-hand number
plaque.
Payout is based on the relative difficulty of getting a number
that is higher or lower than the challenge number. The riskier the
prediction, the more money you could win!
When you have made a decision, click the HIGHER or
LOWER buttons.
How to Collect
If you predict correctly, you win the award amount. The last
number presented becomes the challenge number, and you can then
choose whether to risk your win on the next higher or lower
outcome, or click the Take Win button to take your
winnings and end the game. The numbers 1 and 49 can never be
challenge numbers; if either one of these numbers is presented as
the outcome of a correct prediction, you win that wager and a new
random challenge number is presented.
If you choose to risk your award and continue, you can increase
your award amount. The more times you choose to continue, the
larger your award becomes. If you correctly predict enough numbers,
you'll earn the maximum award and win the game!
If the standard odds for a challenge number prediction would
result in a payout that would exceed the maximum award threshold,
the listed potential payout will become the maximum award
value.
If your winnings are at least twice as large as your initial bet,
you will have the option to click the Take Half
button, which will bank half of your winnings and allow you to
continue playing with the remaining half. As you continue to play,
you can continue to use the Take Half feature as long as your
winnings are at least twice as large as your initial bet.
Rules
Malfunction voids all pays and play.
Awards are shown in credits.
The payouts for this game are based on the difficulty of getting a
higher or lower result relative to the challenge number, where the
full set of numbers range from 1 to 49 excluding the current
challenge number.
The Take Half option is only available while the winnings are at
least twice the initial bet.
The numbers 1 and 49 cannot be challenge numbers. If 1 or 49 is
presented, and the outcome is correctly predicted, the number will
be discarded and a new random challenge number will be
presented.
Total win cannot exceed the maximum award.
Banked credits count toward the maximum award.
The actual monetary balance increase for a fractional credit award
may, if necessary, be rounded down to the nearest payable currency
unit (for example, euro cent or pence).
