Introduction
This version of Deal or No Deal is based on the popular TV game
show broadcast on Channel 4.
The Game
The player is faced with 26 identical boxes, containing different
prize amounts depending on the initial stake. Once the player
chooses their box, they have to carefully pick their way through
the remaining boxes hoping to avoid the higher prize amounts. Each
box chosen is pivotal. At the end of each round, the all knowing,
ever present Banker will present the player with enticing offers,
with the only directive of buying the players box for as little as
possible. The player knows that the longer they can keep the big
money in play they can force the banker to increase his offer.
Playing the Game
The player chooses their stake at the beginning of the game by
clicking on the up and down arrows to the right of the stake box.
The possible payouts on the score table will change according to
the stake selected.
The game starts with 26 identical sealed boxes. The player then
chooses their box to play the game with. In the first round the
player must choose six boxes before the first offer from the
Banker.
The player must then decide on whether to take the offer and is
presented with the options 'Deal' or 'No Deal'. The player must
choose either 'Deal' to accept the offer and win that amount or 'No
Deal' to decline the offer and carry on playing.
In the second and third rounds, five boxes are opened before the
player receives an offer from the Banker. Again, the player must
make a choice between 'Deal' or 'No Deal'.
In the fourth round, four boxes are opened before the player
receives an offer from the Banker. The player must make a choice
between 'Deal' or 'No Deal'.
In the fifth round, four of the remaining five boxes are opened
before the player receives an offer from the Banker. The player
must choose either 'Deal' to accept the offer or 'No Deal' to
decline the offer. If the offer is declined, the remaining box and
the players box are opened at the same time and the player will win
the amount contained in their chosen box.
