Virgin Bingo is changing to Virgin Games!
Put this date in your diary. As from
Wednesday the 20th of May 2009 Virgin Bingo is changing – for the better.
We’ll still have the same fantastic games and promotions you know and love, we’re just going to wrap it all up in a fantastic new Virgin Games account.
This means that in future you’ll only ever need one account to play on any of our sites – Bingo, Casino and Poker.
This page will outline what’s going on as well as the improvements you can expect to see after the 20th of May.
What’s Happening?
Quite simply we’re moving our Bingo game. The new Bingo site will still have all your favourite Bingo games such as
90 and
75 ball but now we’ve also added
80 ball, Speed Bingo and our unique
Joker Jackpot Bingo game too.
What’s more, along with these are
better chat features, and bigger rewards for all our regular players. Plus even more
bumper Jackpots! Also, we have the pleasure of introducing some
exciting new slot games to you.
Following on from our recent launches of
Monopoly and
Cleopatra we'll soon have other great titles such as
Dungeons and Dragons, Da Vinci Diamonds and more, plus our new community slot game,
Marine Mayhem!
What’s Changing?
We’re changing everything – from the Bingo Room to your account management!
The biggest change you’ll notice is in the Bingo Room. You told us what you wanted and we listened!
- From the 20th of May you’ll see a completely different Virgin Bingo Room. We’ll have bigger and better Bingo rooms, more chat rooms and chat games, fantastic new slots and even bigger jackpots, and even better prizes! Click here and here for a sneaky peak at our new Bingo Room
- You’ll be able to see all the games you’ve played without leaving the Bingo Room – so no more calls chasing up!
- We’re also bringing everything in-house – this means that from the 20th of May you’ll be dealing with Virgin Games and only Virgin Games. Instead of a Virgin Bingo account you’ll have a shiny new Virgin Games account which means that when you log-in you’ll also be able to play Casino and Poker using your existing account. That’s right! One account to use on bingo, casino and poker.
- You’ll be offered more competitive bonuses playing the games you love best. Plus we’ve improved the way you keep track your bonuses.
- We’ll have our own 24/7 customer support and payments and security teams ready to welcome you to Virgin Games, and give you a helping hand whenever you need it.
What’s NOT Changing?
- Unless you fall into a very small minority of customers, you’ll be able to keep your current username and chat name.
- Our games (well actually that’s a lie – our new Bingo Room has even better games – which means even more fun!)
- Better chat games and chat rooms with hopefully more wins and more friends!
- Our commitment to delivering the best possible gaming experience around.
My Account Changes

Moving your account
When you log-in to your Virgin Bingo account after the 20th of May, you’ll be re-directed to a brand new Virgin Games account page.
Moving your account couldn’t be easier – just follow the prompts in the pop-up boxes.
You’ll be asked to confirm your existing username and password. (If you can’t remember your password on the day just
contact us and we’ll get you in!)
You’ll then be asked to check and confirm your existing personal information. Because it’s a new Virgin Games account you’ll also be asked to set a security question and answer and agree to the Virgin Games T&Cs.
For a small number of customers your existing username and/or chatname may not be available for a Virgin Games account because it’s either already been taken by some one who beat you to it.
Any funds in your existing Bingo account will automatically be credited to your new Virgin Games account.
Any chat points will be converted into V*POINTS (10 chat points = 1 V*Point) – and you already know how good they are!
Any bonuses in your Virgin Bingo account before the 20th of May will be credited to your new Virgin Games account as cash. That's right! (
Important Note: This only applies to cash accounts registered
BEFORE 18 May 2009)
Register your Payment Method
For legal and security reasons we’re not allowed to transfer your payment details, so you’ll have to re-register your payment method. You can do this by going to My Account and selecting Deposit.
In order to activate your payment method you’ll have to make a minimum deposit of £5.00.
NOTE: Unfortunately we will no longer be able to accept Moneybookers, U-Kash or Paysafe as payment methods - but you’ll still be able to use Neteller, Visa, Visa Electron, Mastercard, Maestro, Switch and Solo.
Identity and Verification
We’re moving to a new licence which means a new regulatory body: the Alderney Gambling Control Commission.
We’re sorry but this means we’ll have to verify you again. We will attempt to verify you electronically using the details you provide when you first move your account, and the majority of you won’t be affected.
Unfortunately the databases we use to do this such as the electoral roll, directory eqniries, etc. are sometimes a little out of date which means we don’t always get a positive match. Where this happens we’ll need you to help us out by sending in documents such as a passport or copy of utility bill or bank statement.
We understand and appreciate that some of you may already have done this, and we’re sorry if we do have to ask you again but unfortunately it’s the law. We promise we’ll try to be as understanding as flexible and as nice as we can if you fall into that small number of customers affected.
Note: If you had an old Virgin Casino or Poker account, you’ll already have gone through this process. Don’t worry; you won’t have to do it again. All you’ll be required to do this time is link your Virgin Bingo account to your active Virgin Games account. Just follow the prompts.
Player Protection
From the 20th of May, you’ll be able to manage your gaming even more. You’ll be able to set your own daily, weekly and monthly deposit limits which mean that you’ll be able to set how much you spend and always stay in control.
You’ll also be able to take Take Out or Self-Exclude directly from our website.
Bonuses
From the 7th of May, you’ll be able to manage and track your Virgin Games bonuses in new and exciting ways! Here’s what you’ll be able to do from the Bonuses section of My Account:
- Register a Bonus using a bonus code
- Keep track of your bonuses through My Bonuses
- We’ve also made some other changes to our bonus system, so that in the future you’ll be able to play even more of your favourite games to get your bonuses
Customer Support
Virgin Games now has its own 24/7, 365 (that’s right 365 not 364!) UK based call centre, and even more ways of getting in touch.
Not only can you contact us by phone and e-mail, from the 20th of May, you’ll be able to chat to us live online and even get us to call you back.
They can’t wait to meet you and are counting down the days before they can say hello to you, but for now you’ll have to just use the normal contact details on the site.
FAQs
Why do you need to deposit before you can take money out of your Virgin Games account?
We know this is a bit of a pain, but it’s for security purposes. When we bring your account over from Virgin Bingo to Virgin Games we need to know that the depositing player is the same player who is withdrawing the money. We don’t want your money going to the wrong person and we’re guessing you don’t either.
Do I need to deposit separately to play on Virgin Bingo?
For now yes, but give us a couple more weeks and it will all be under one roof. We’ll keep you posted.
Who can I speak to about these changes?
We have a dedicated, UK based call centre that will be only too happy to speak to you about any of these changes. You can email them at
help@virgingames.com.
